What's New for the 2025 Honda Civic?

Although the Civic remains one of the most popular vehicles in its class, the 2025 model year brings several updates. Traditionally a favorite among sedan enthusiasts, the Civic is also offered as a hatchback for those desiring sportier styling. This year, the Civic lineup includes a new hybrid powertrain and updates to the grille and front end. Trim-specific changes include the addition of Google technology at the top trim level.

What Are the 2025 Civic Trims & Features?

The base Civic sedan model is the LX, which features LED headlights and 16-inch steel wheels. The interior is equipped with automatic climate control, a four-speaker sound system, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay.

The Sport trim adds keyless entry, a remote start, a split-folding back seat, ambient cabin lighting, and a leather steering wheel. The sound system is upgraded with twice as many speakers for enhanced sound quality.

Next is the Sport Hybrid trim, which includes a different engine, a sunroof, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, and additional safety technology.

The Sport Touring Hybrid features power-adjustable front seats, leather upholstery, a digital gauge display, and a larger nine-inch infotainment display. It also comes with a wireless phone charger and a premium Bose sound system.

The Si trim includes all-season high-performance tires for comfortable and efficient year-round driving, larger brakes, and a sport-tuned suspension system. The interior boasts sporty front seats with more bolstering and manual adjustment capability.

The Type R is the most performance-oriented trim, featuring an adaptive sport exhaust, wider fenders, exclusive sporty synthetic suede seats, and upgraded Brembo brakes. Summer performance tires are also standard.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2025 Civic Have?

The standard engine is a 2.0L that produces 150 horsepower. The Sport Hybrid's hybrid powertrain delivers 200 horsepower. The Si features a turbocharged 1.5L engine with 200 horsepower, while the Type R is equipped with a larger turbo engine producing 315 horsepower.
