The 2020 Honda Civic is the latest vehicle from Honda to hit the market and the newest from the Civic model line. The 2020 Civic is entering the tenth generation of vehicles for its lineup and comes with a few new features all around, such as updated front and rear styling and extra sound insulation to keep the cabin quieter.

Trims and Tech Features That Impress

The 2020 Civic comes with its own unique set of five different trim levels, all with their own special features and amenities. The trim levels available are the LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, and Sport Touring. The LX is the most basic trim and starts off with standard features like automatic climate control, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, and Bluetooth access. The Sport is the next level up and brings in a few more features such as larger wheels, a leather steering wheel, Apple CarPlay, and an improved audio system. The EX is the next level up and adds in dual-zone automatic climate control and satellite radio access. The EX-L shares many of the EX's similarities but brings in some leather upholstery for interior decoration. The Sport Touring is the most advanced trim and has LED headlights, an improved navigation system, and a twelve speaker audio system.

The engine for the base models come with a variable automatic speed transmission with a front-wheel drive train to match, although higher trims will switch to a 6-speed manual transmission. The engine also has a 180 horsepower rating and can deliver 162 feet per pound of engine torque when on the road. The Civic runs on premium unleaded fuel and can hold over twelve gallons of fuel.

One of the many prominent safety features included here is a collision mitigation braking system, which automatically activates the brakes in the event that a collision is imminent. There is also a lane-keeping assist feature that detects when the car is leaving its lane and will automatically adjust the driving. The Civic can seat five people and does not miss out on adding other standard features such as rear door safety locks for younger and smaller passengers.

Car stability and traction control have all been improved over the last year, and with it, there is also a new 4-wheel ABS system. A blind-spot warning system has been added to increase driver awareness when on the road and looking for other objects in the blind spot areas. Turn signal mirrors are also included to give other drivers a warning when the car is about to change lanes. The light system contains daytime running lights that work in the middle of the day and also come with auto-delay off features, so power is not wasted and can be used at any time.
