Why Is My Car Shaking?
 Â
When your car has a problem, sometimes the only way you will know about it is if it shakes or even vibrates. This could mean something seriously wrong with your car; therefore, it might be time to take it into a shop and have it looked at by a good mechanic. You will find some main reasons why cars shake and vibrate below, but you can always reach out to us if it gets worse. We have a team of expert mechanics who will not only diagnose the problem but also fix it.
Engine
If your car has engine problems, it usually shakes or vibrates. This could mean your spark plugs are bad or your air filters need to be replaced. Depending on your car's model, the spark plugs may need replacing every 80,000 to 100,000 miles. If you find that the spark plugs are in good condition, then the problem may be the air filters. They are inside the engine and sometimes get surface contamination or clogged up to where oxygen cannot get to the engine.
Brakes
The brakes could also cause the shaking or trembling of your car. The front brakes work harder, so they usually will wear out faster than the back brakes. You should change your car's brake pads every 50,000 miles if they are worn out or even sooner, depending on your driving patterns and the vehicle itself. Your owner's manual is a good reference for how often the brakes must be changed. We have great mechanics who are fast and friendly. Contact us for all your car repairs or general maintenance.
Wheels
The wheels on your car may also make your vehicle tremble or shake if the wheel bearings, tie rods, ball joints, or other wheel elements are damaged. Your steering wheel will shake too or vibrate if the wheels are damaged. Don't take any risks; contact us right away if this could be the problem.
Axles
The two axles connect the wheels of your car to the back end and the front end. They get damaged a lot, mostly if you have a little accident or drive on damaged roads. If the trembling continues while you give it gas, your car could have dented or bent axles. This could also mean that the CV joints/driveshaft is damaged.
Tires
If the tires on your car were not balanced, aligned, or appropriately inflated, the vehicle would shake while driving. This is another situation that can be dangerous since your tires can wobble even worse later.
