2022 Honda Pilot

What's New for the 2022 Honda Pilot?

The biggest change for the popular Honda Pilot SUV in 2022 is a shortened trim lineup, which translates to better value for car shoppers. The Pilot starts with the EX-L as the base trim, which was previously the mid-level trim in 2021. That means you can look forward to enjoying more standard amenities across the Pilot lineup. The 2022 Pilot provides better value no matter which trim you choose to get. With this year's Pilot comes a few minor adjustments to standard and optional amenities, primarily due to the reshuffling of the models.

2022 Pilot Trims & Features

Although there are two fewer trims available for the Honda Pilot in 2022, car shoppers won't be disappointed with their remaining options. You'll get more value with all trims, especially at the base level. You can choose from five trims for the 2022 model year down from seven in 2021. The EX-L now replaces the LX as the base trim, and it absorbs many of the standard components from the second trim as well, which was the EX. The new EX-L base trim level has a standard seating arrangement for eight, but you'll still get captain's chairs and seating for seven with the top three Pilot trim levels. A generous number of amenities are included with the base model for 2022, including leather upholstery, split-folding rear seats, a cavernous trunk, and premium technology that consists of an eight-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The EX-L also provides the front occupants with additional comfort and convenience, including heated and power-adjustable seats for the driver and front-seat passenger. The Special Edition, now the second trim, has larger wheels and unique exterior styling accents. It has wireless charging and a hands-free liftgate as well, and the Touring upgrades from the base sound system to a premium stereo with 10 speakers. WiFi is also included. The Elite adds more luxurious items such as a panoramic sunroof and standard captain's chairs. The Black Edition has the same amenities but black styling accents.
