2021 Honda Pilot

What's New For the 2021 Honda Pilot?

For 2021, the Honda Pilot gains a Special Edition trim, standard 9-speed automatic transmission on all Pilot trim levels, and the base-level LX gets a dual-zone automatic climate control system. Other notable technologies include CabinTalk®, multi-zone audio and a rear entertainment system.

2021 Pilot Trims & Features

The 2021 Honda Pilot is available in seven variants: LX, EX, EX-L, Special Edition, Touring, Elite and Black Edition. Three rows of seats accommodate up to eight people on four of the trims and up to seven on the Elite. The Touring is the only trim available as a seven- or eight-seater. Driver-side power and front-seat heating appear at the EX trim level. The EX-L gains leather seat trim, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, power adjustability on the driver and front passenger seats, and driver-side memory. Only the Elite has perforated leather seating and front-seat cooling.

Infotainment on the Pilot combines a seven-speaker AM/FM stereo system, Bluetooth wireless technology for hands-free calling and audio streaming, and a 5-inch display screen. There's also a USB port and an audio jack to hook up mobile devices and play media from them, as well as a second USB port to charge them. Push-button engine start eliminates the need to get started with an ignition key. The EX gains a tri-zone automatic climate control system, HD Radio, three additional USB ports, CabinControl® to turn your smartphone into a remote control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, and an 8-inch color touchscreen that replaces the 5-inch display. The EX-L adds remote engine start, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a garage-door opener. At the Touring level, Honda introduces a Wi-Fi hotspot, rear-entertainment system, an in-car PA system, a navigation system, and a 10-speaker stereo system. Wireless phone charging ability appears on the Special Edition and Elite.

2021 Honda Pilot Horsepower

A 3.5-liter V6 engine is equipped on all trims of the 2021 Pilot. This engine powers out 280 hp and 262 lb-ft. of torque. Joined to this robust engine is a 9-speed automatic gearbox and a front-wheel drive configuration. The 2021 Honda Pilot also offers the Intelligent Variable Torque Management (i-VTM4) all-wheel drive system. When equipped with the i-VTM4®, the Pilot provides exceptional traction on a range of paved and unpaved surfaces, optimizing overall handling.

Honda Pilot Safety

On the 2021 Pilot, automatic high beams are implemented to improve visibility in dark and foggy conditions. Additionally, the rearview camera produces a video image to keep you aware of your surroundings when backing out. Most notable is the Honda Sensing, a suite of driver-assistance features that combines road departure mitigation, collision mitigation braking system, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, and forward collision warning. Any of six airbags can be deployed to protect occupants from a crash. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic appear on all trims above the LX.
