Welcome to Showcase Honda's HR-V Review
As Honda's brand-new entry into the crossover segment, the Honda HR-V is a subcompact that is a beautiful marriage between the Honda Fit and the Honda Pilot. Both of those models have been standout performers in their respective segments and the HR-V stands to continue that trend in 2016.
The 2016 Honda HR-V in Phoenix is offered in three trim levels: LX, EX and EX-L with Navi. The LX trim starts things off with 17-inch alloy wheels, a 5-inch display screen, a four-speaker sound system, a tilt- and-telescoping steering wheel, cruise control and a rearview camera. The next-level EX trim adds foglights, a 6-speaker sound system, a sunroof, a 7-inch touchscreen, keyless ignition and entry, automatic climate control and rear privacy glass. Finally, the top-tier EX-L model of the 2016 HR-V gets a few more luxury items, including a navigation system, leather upholstery, roof rails and satellite radio.
Along with these many impressive features on the crossover, our 2016 Honda HR-V review also found a host of terrific safety amenities. These amenities include side curtain airbags, antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, and front seat side airbags. Our review also found Honda's blind-spot monitoring system, LaneWatch, to be very helpful in maneuvering the crossover in heavy traffic.
Under the hood, the 2016 Honda HR-V in Phoenix uses a 141-horsepower 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that gives the car a very agile and spunky driving feel. This powertrain is paired with either a continuously variable transmission or a manual gearbox, depending on your needs. For those who want added fuel economy, we highly recommend choosing the CVT.
The all-new Honda HR-V is one of the most exciting new additions to the new line of 2016 cars coming out this year.
