Outside, the new Civic is edgy and refined. With a new grille, headlights, taillights and an overall updated body design, Civic offers much more eye-catching curb appeal than before. The sporty sedan is on sale now and is available in LX, EX, EX-T, EX-L and Touring trim levels. The coupe, hatchback, Civic Si and Civic Type R models will still be in the lineup as well, with some models set to hit stores sometime later this year, while the Civic Gas and Hybrid models have been discontinued for 2016.
A sunroof, 16-inch wheels, heated side mirrors, variable intermittent wipers, keyless entry and ignition, a multifunction trip computer, a rear center armrest with cupholders and 60/40-split folding rear seatbacks are all new additions on this year's EX model. Plus, it comes equipped with an eight-speaker audio system with dual USB ports, making it easy to jam out to your favorite tunes. Additionally, the EX gets LaneWatch lane-changing assistant, a 7-inch touchscreen interface with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and SMS voice-to-text functionality, as well as smartphone-app integration. Aside from these fantastic features, each Civic model comes standard with a rearview monitor system.
For extra amenity and more peppy engine power, the EX-T gets a turbocharged engine, 17-inch alloy wheels, foglights, a rear deck lid spoiler, remote start, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, and HD and satellite radio.
Boosting your luxury level even more is the well-equipped EX-L model, which gets leather upholstery, an eight-way power driver seat, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter knob. The Touring model gets different 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, automatic wipers, a four-way passenger seat, an integrated navigation system and a 10-speaker audio system. It also comes standard with Honda's Sensing safety package that includes lane-departure intervention, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and forward-collision alert with automatic emergency braking to improve safety.
An energetic 2.0L four-cylinder engine with 158 horsepower and 138 lb.-ft. of torque power the front-wheel-drive LX and EX models. Plus, the available CVT or six-speed transmissions on the 2016 Honda Civic in Phoenix make driving this cool car even better. For those looking for more power, the EX-T, EX-L and Touring models will get you on your way in no time with their new turbocharged 1.5L four-cylinder engines, which generate 174 horses and 162 lb.-ft. of torque with a CVT.
