Honda Engine Not Working

When Your Car Won't Start

Sometimes trouble starts even before your car does. Almost every driver has faced the dreaded scenario of a vehicle that won't start. Sometimes you turn the key, and nothing happens. Other times, you might turn the key and hear your car struggling to get that spark it needs to go. If you've discovered your vehicle doesn't feel like starting today, there are a few good reasons this might be happening.

Fuel Filter

The fuel filter sometimes gets clogged and prevents fuel from reaching the engine. If there's a blockage in your fuel filter, the engine won't cooperate and start. It believes it's out of gas. In reality, there's just something blocking the fuel from going where it needs to go. A professional auto mechanic can examine your fuel filter and make sure this isn't the culprit behind a vehicle that won't start.

Battery

Your battery provides power to your vehicle. Many things can go wrong with a battery, including extreme temperature responses and corrosion over time. If you've got an old battery, this might be the first cause that mechanics will look for in the diagnostic codes. This is very frequently the issue behind a vehicle not starting.

Lack of Fuel

Today's modern vehicles are better at letting you know when you're low on fuel, but older automobiles have just a gauge that's easy to ignore. If it's been a while since you put gas in your vehicle, it might be easy to overlook that your car is out of gas. If your vehicle doesn't start, be sure to make sure it's not out of fuel.

Ignition

Your ignition looks simple, but it's a highly complex component that hooks your vehicle to its power sources. A professional mechanic will know how to examine your ignition and make sure there's nothing disconnected or defective about it.

Starter

An electric motor works with your starter to get your vehicle fired up and ready for a day of service. If something goes wrong with this connection, your car won't start. If you have a key ignition, you'll notice this one right away. Your vehicle won't crank at all. In other scenarios, the vehicle might attempt to crank but then die out. With this, you'll just find that nothing turns and sparks the way it should.

A professional auto mechanic at our dealership can diagnose each of these problems and get your vehicle back on the road again. Contact us for info.

Honda Insight to be Discontinued for 2023

Honda Insight to be Discontinued for 2023
In a surprise move, Honda announced that it is discontinuing production of Insight, its popular hybrid vehicle. Insight has been in production since 1999, making it one of the longest-running hybrid models on the market. Honda has not given a reason for the decision, but sluggish sales likely have something to do with it. Insight has struggled to keep up with newer, more popular hybrids like the Toyota Prius and the Honda Civic Hybrid. Honda is expected to discontinue the production of Insight by the end of the year.
