Honda Vehicle Service Warning Indicators
ÂYou can gain valuable insight into your Honda vehicle's health from your dashboard lights. These lights are also called warning indicators, and we define 10 of them here.

Airbag Fault
If this light appears on your dashboard, your airbags may not properly deploy until you have it addressed. This indicator means that your car's control system found a flaw or error in your airbag system. Professional repair is necessary.

Low Fuel Level Warning Light
Do not take chances when you see this light appear. It means that your gas tank is nearing empty. Refuel soon.

Oil Pressure Warning Light
Stop driving as quickly as safely possible when you see this light. Never run your car on low oil pressure. Try adding oil if you find that your oil level is low. If the oil level is not the problem, you will need professional service.

Service Vehicle Soon
In most cars, this light rarely indicates a significant problem. It is mostly used to alert you that it's time to change the car's oil and perform other scheduled maintenance. Also, some models activate this light when minor repairs are necessary. Your owner's manual can provide more info about this dashboard light.

TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System)
This light indicates low tire pressure. For your safety, check your tires, and adjust low ones. You can find your car's ideal tire pressure on your driver's doorjamb. If your tires' pressure is fine, have your TPMS sensors serviced.

Slip Indicator
Losing traction causes your traction-restoring features to engage and this light to flash. If the light remains on after your vehicle has regained traction, your traction control or stability control may be malfunctioning.

Charging System Warning Light
Your car's battery, voltage regulator, and alternator make up its charging system. This system maintains your battery's electrical charge. A fault in the charging system activates this light. You will need to replace one or more parts in this system.

Brake System
This light tells you that you may be leaking brake fluid. Alternatively, you have air in your brake lines. Either way, we can help, and we highly recommend that you get this problem fixed very soon. Ignoring it can lead to losing your brakes.

Open Door Warning Light
Closing all your doors will turn off this light. Check for obstructions if the light doesn't disappear.

Coolant Level Warning
Never ignore your coolant light. It indicates low coolant, which causes high engine temperatures and extreme damage. While you might add coolant, you must repair your coolant system to end this problem.
