Honda Sensing is an advanced and comprehensive suite of driver-assist safety aids. The system is designed to keep you safe on the road when you're moving in every direction, including changing lanes on the highway and reversing. The Honda Sensing suite is offered on many newer Honda models. It will be either standard or optional, depending on the trim level and Honda model that you choose. Most features in the safety aid package are automatically activated as needed after you begin driving for convenience.

Collision Mitigation Braking System

The Collision Mitigation Braking System is one component found in the Honda Sensing safety system. This system is an advanced safety aid for your braking system. If the car senses that you are about to collide with another vehicle or an object ahead, it automatically activates the brakes to stop the vehicle before impact safely. The Collision Mitigation Braking System applies to the front brakes to help avoid frontal collisions.

Road Departure Mitigation System

The Road Departure Mitigation System uses sensors to help keep your Honda on the road. If you start to drift out of your lane or change lanes without using your turn signal, the Road Departure Mitigation System activates to help you stay in your lane. The system will automatically adjust your vehicle's steering and braking mechanisms to keep the car centered and avoid changing lanes without using the turn signal.

Adaptive Cruise Control

Adaptive Cruise Control is an intuitive system that helps keep your Honda at a safe following distance from the vehicle ahead. The cruise control system uses radar technology to help you maintain the correct following distance so that you have time to stop if the car ahead also suddenly stops.

Lane Keep Assist

The Lane Keep Assist safety feature helps your Honda stay in its lane if it senses that the car would otherwise start drifting. If you begin to turn out of your lane without signaling first, these safety features adjust the vehicle's steering to help the Honda stay in its lane instead.

Blind Spot Information System

When you merge lanes, the Blind Spot Information System uses a camera to help you avoid driving into the path of oncoming vehicles. The camera-based system is activated when you use your turn signal. If a vehicle is detected in your path, the system uses an audible warning system to help you avoid an accident.
