Peppy New Turbocharged Engine Ups the Wow Factor

In addition to the standard 185-horsepower, 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, the CR-V gains an all-new turbocharged option: a 1.5-liter turbo four. Available starting on the EX trim, this new turbo engine boosts output to 190 horsepower and increases fuel economy to an EPA-estimated 30 mpg combined (FWD models).* Both engine offerings are paired to a continuously variable transmission and come standard with front-wheel drive.

The CR-V also receives several architectural updates, which make for an even more comfortable and refined ride. The SUV receives an additional 1.4 inches of ground clearance and has a longer wheelbase with a wider stance. The redesigned chassis offers better handling and a firmer ride experience. The available Real Time all-wheel drive system has also been tweaked, increasing maximum rear-wheel torque delivery to 40 percent and improving control in rough weather situations.

Bold & Brawny New Look

The CR-V shows off sleek new styling that is sure to turn a few heads when you take it for a test drive at our Phoenix dealership. In addition to the wider, brawnier body, the CR-V ups the fierce factor with redesigned features. The new headlights are slimmer and more aggressive with LED daytime running lights adding a wing-shaped cap. The front end gets a new Active Shutter Grille with a chrome insert and more muscular fenders. On the back side, the taillights are more angular and L-shaped, and spread across the rear door, which also is refreshed this year. Other noticeable changes include new alloy wheels, dual exhaust and narrower A-pillars.

Plush Cabin & Upscale Amenities

Cabin space grows thanks to the CR-V’s longer wheelbase, but that’s not the only impressive interior change. The cabin gets a makeover with upgraded materials and stitched seating that add to the SUV’s refinement. The dash now features soft-touch materials, and a new color driver information center is added to the gauge cluster. Leather seating is standard starting on the EX-L trim.

Honda Sensing is extended the EX trim, and now includes Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow and Road Departure Mitigation, along with blind spot information system, Auto High-Beam, Rear Cross Traffic Monitor and Driver Attention Monitor.

Additionally, these features join the SUV’s long list of appointments: remote engine start, hands free power tailgate, heated side mirrors, an Electronic Parking Brake, a driver’s seat with 8-way power adjustment and 4-way power lumbar, a passenger seat with 4-way power adjustment, remote engine start, dual zone climate control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and rear seat USB charging ports.
