2018 Honda Accord

After much anticipation, the 2018 Accord has finally been revealed! Scheduled to arrive in our showroom later this fall, we’re offering fans an early look at the all-new model. Check it out below!

"We are redefining the Honda Accord for a new generation of buyers by bringing something unexpected that challenges the idea of what a mainstream sedan can be," said Jeff Conrad, senior vice president of the Automobile Division of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "Even as we advance core values like great driving dynamics, safety performance and efficiency, the distinctive design of this all-new 2018 Honda Accord will help it appeal to both head and heart in equal measure."

'Next Generation' Design

According to the automaker, the latest iteration of the Accord is “new from the ground up,” incorporating an all-new chassis design and shedding a few pounds in favor of a more lightweight and rigid body structure. The sedan also features a wider, lower body, which provides an even sportier driving feel.

These structural updates are accompanied by dramatic styling changes, giving the Accord a sportier look to match its new underpinnings. Exterior highlights include a bolder front end, shorter overhangs, a fastback silhouette, LED taillights, dual exhaust ports, and available full-LED headlights.

The sedan’s cabin has also been nipped and tucked for higher visibility and improved comfort. A panoramic forward view as well as narrower front roof pillars work to enhance driver confidence, while new soft-touch materials, a contoured steering wheel and ergonomic seating make even the longest commutes cozy and relaxing.

The Latest in Safety & Convenience Tech

For 2018, the Accord receives quite a few exciting new pieces of tech, starting with the latest iteration of HondaLink. Featuring new capabilities like remote locking/unlocking, engine start, remote diagnostics, emergency roadside assistance and geofencing, drivers will be able to connect with their vehicles like never before.

Other new or improved in-car features include a 7-inch TFT driver information display, an 8-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity, 4G LTE in-car Wi-Fi, wireless phone charging, a multi-angle rearview camera with dynamic guidelines, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.

The 2018 Accord also comes standard with Honda Sensing, which consists of Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation and Traffic Sign Recognition.

Three New Powertrains to Choose From

The Accord updates its engine roster for the new model year, offering three efficient and fun-to-drive choices to Phoenix drivers. Standard, the sedan is powered by a 192-horsepower, 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. This engine comes paired to a continuously variable transmission, although the Sport trim allows buyers to swap for a six-speed manual.

An upgraded 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder is also available, increasing output to a whopping 252 horsepower. This option comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission, or a six-speed manual if you choose the Sport trim.

The popular Accord Hybrid also receives a new powertrain system, which is composed of two electric motors, a more efficient 2.0-liter engine and a new compact intelligent power unit. Specs for this configuration are not yet available.
